A Letter From The President
Dear Friends,
American Home Project, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that will improve the lives of every man, woman, and child in all communities involved. Our plan is very simple, but can only be acheived through major participation. This is where strength in numbers applies. By standing together we are able to accomplish so much more. All churches and non-profit organizations provide a wide variety of very beneficial services that our communities need desperately! Our programs will only enhance these services without any real sacrifice from anyone. We as a people are in a major economic crisis. Millions have lost their jobs. Over a million people have lost their homes to foreclosure. One in every fifty homeless is a child. Crime is escalating everywhere with no end in sight. The government can only do so much. We need to join together any way we can to pick ourselves up and move forward. This is where American Home Project can help. We are not the complete answer, but we are a positive step forward!
What is American Home Project? A non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of all involved by stimulating and keeping the economy on a positive path through home replacement and improvement, creation of jobs, and making a more eco-friendly environment.
How will American Home Project do this? By a simple, straight forward plan using strength in numbers. Let us use the state of Delaware as an example. In a 2007 census there were 650,000 residents over the age of 18. If each resident set aside just $1 each week, there would be an annual budget of over $33 million. This would create thousands of jobs and improve thousands of homes. This simple donation will change the lives of all around us! Many of those helped will be your friends, neighbors, relatives, and possibly yourself!
How will American Home Project decide who will be helped? Through participation of local churches, civic groups, and others we will be able to see the homes in the most need. We will also target our disabled and place a strong emphasis on our verterans. There will be others who will need immediate help due to a fire or another catastrophe. In time, we will even be able to offer 0% interest repairs at affordable monthly paymets for those who may be on a tight budget.
Who will be working on these jobs? Only qualified, licensed, and insured local businesses. No long distance business or hoemowner will be elligible. Our objective is to stimulate the local economy where ever the project is located.
How can I trust that my donation is being used properly? We have an open book policy that is above other non-profits. 1-We post our financials. 2-We will list all projects, past and present. 3-Cash donations are carefully documented and all credit card and check donations are directly deposited into The Felton Bank. 4-The IRS has strict guidelines we must follow. 5-We will personally speak or meet with you on any concerns or ideas you may have.
A drop of rain will not make a garden grow; but, a steady shower placed where needed will feed us all. I hope you will consider all the positive changes our organization will make towards the needs of all around us and share my words with as many as possible.
